Leoma, TN : Teen crashes car into Lawrence Co. school on Friday morning, September 12, 2014
A Lawrence County teen crashed his vehicle into a portion of Leoma Elementary School on Friday morning after falling asleep at the wheel while traveling south on US Highway 43, police said.
Dillin Cosby, 19, was driving a 2001 Mercury Sable when he apparently fell asleep about 6 a.m., traveled across the highway and into the school’s glass doors leading to the cafeteria, according to information released by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Cosby was wearing a seatbelt, but was transported to Crocket for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
