ROCKFORD, IL : Minnesota woman dies after I-90 crash in Boone County on Monday, August 21, 2017

A 28-year-old woman from St. Paul, Minnesota died today at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center following a car accident on Interstate 90 in Boone County, according to the Winnebago County Coroner.

The woman, whose name is being withheld pending notification of her family, was a front seat passenger in a vehicle that rolled over near mile marker 24.75 on I-90. The woman was ejected during the accident. She was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 3:57 p.m.

Illinois State Police is investigating the death. An autopsy is pending, and toxicology results will be available in approximately two weeks. No further information about the crash is available at this time.
