Warren, OH : Woman injured in car crash near Willard Avenue SE on Friday, August 5, 2016

A two-car crash about 5:30 p.m. Friday on East Market Street near Willard Avenue SE sent a woman to St. Joseph Warren Hospital. The woman was driving this Volkswagen sedan on East Market when she struck a Dodge Dart that was turning onto East Market from Willard, according to witnesses. A police officer at the scene said the woman may have had a medical condition prior to the crash. A worker from May's Towing and a Warren firefighter spread an absorbent powder on the road to clean up oil and gasoline that leaked from the damaged cars. The Volkswagen sustained moderate front-end damage and its airbags deployed, according to police. The Dodge sustained moderate rear-end damage. No further information was available Friday night.
