A driver faces manslaughter and DUII charges for a crash that killed his passenger Friday night, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.Deputies say Wesley Hastings,
41, of Salem, was driving north on Manning Road when sometime after 6 p.m. his SUV went off the road in a curve. The SUV started to roll and Hastings’ passenger was
thrown from the vehicle.Emergency crews pronounced the passenger dead at the scene. Officials are withholding her identity until family members have been notified of
her death.Hastings was arrested him for second-degree manslaughter and driving under the influence after being treated at Salem Hospital.His arraignment is scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday.
