Brooklyn, NY : Motorcyclist was killed and three cops were injured in a collision at Crown Heights On Sunday, July 3rd, 2016
A man on a motorcycle died early Sunday after crashing into a livery cab in Brooklyn, witnesses and police said.
The motorcyclist, believed to be in his 30s, was heading north on Buffalo Ave. near E. New York Ave. in Crown Heights at 1:22 a.m., police said, when he smashed into the Lincoln SUV.
"They were pumping the man's chest as he was put in the ambulance," said a witness who didn't give his name. "It didn't look good."
The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, but he couldn't be saved, officials said. His name has not been released pending family notification.
The driver of the Lincoln stayed at the scene, officials said. Two women were in the backseat of the Lincoln. They were not hurt.
The women declined to talk to a Daily News reporter about the crash.
At the scene, parts of the motorcycle littered the street.
Another witness said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
