Lee County, SC : Lamar man killed in Lee County car crash on Saturday, 20th October 2018

A Lamar man was killed Saturday night after his vehicle crashed in Lee County.

Herbert Pearson, 54, of Cartersville Highway, died at the scene of a single-vehicle wreck, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol and Lee County Coroner Larry Logan.

Lance Cpl. Matt Southern said Pearson was traveling east on Green Lane in a 2013 Chevrolet Impala when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road about 8:15 p.m. near Hawkins Road. The vehicle hit a ditch and overturned, Southern said.
