Woodland, CA : Major traffic accident in Woodland injures 3 on Saturday, January 14th 2017
Woodland police and firefighters had to extricate one person from a three-vehicle accident early Saturday morning.
Although no official report was yet available, Woodland police reported on the department’s Facebook page that the accident occurred around 1:20 a.m. near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and North West Street.
According to the Facebook post, three people were taken by ambulance to area hospitals for medical treatment. The condition of the people injured was not reported.
Police did report that when patrol officers and firefighters arrived they found three vehicles involved — one of which was parked at the time of the collision.
One driver was pinned in a vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. A second driver “was unresponsive.” Presumably the third victim was a passenger in one of the vehicles.
The collision is being investigated as an alcohol-related injury collision, police reported.
