West Quincy, MO : Jimmy L. Richeson, 25, dies in a motorcycle crash west of the Missouri-Illinois state line on Saturday, April 8, 2017

A Quincy, Ill., man died in a motorcycle crash at 3:35 p.m. Saturday in West Quincy, Mo.

Jimmy L. Richeson, 25, lost control of his 2006 Honda motorcycle on County Road 357, one mile west of the Missouri-Illinois state line.

Richeson was traveling northbound when the road surface changed from pavement to gravel, and the motorcycle overturned. Richeson was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Deputy Coroner Brett Massie at 4:50 p.m.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Palmyra Fire Department and the Adams County EMS.
