Florence,AL : Florence woman dies in wreck near Elkton on May, Saturday 12th 2018

A Florence woman was killed Saturday in a traffic wreck on Highway 138 West near Elkton, according to Reedsport police.

Authorities identified the victim as Leona Robb, 67. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from her vehicle, police said.

Police learned shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday that a motorist had seen a vehicle’s tail lights in a ditch off the highway. Officers and medics went to the scene and found Robb’s 2002 Nissan sport-utility vehicle about 150 feet off the road, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Robb, who was traveling alone, was not conscious when the vehicle left the road, police said. No other information has been released.
