NEWARK, NJ : Car driver ticketed after crash with NJ Transit bus on Monday, 24th October 2016
Police say no one was seriously injured when a car operated by an unlicensed driver and a commuter bus crashed in Newark.
New Jersey Transit says the Number 34 bus was headed from Montclair to Newark’s Penn Station with 29 people aboard early Monday.
Police say the bus was headed east on Market street and the car was headed west when the crash occurred at the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard intersection.
The driver and passenger in the car and everyone on the bus were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police ticketed the 19-year-old driver of the car for careless driving, failure to have a license and other charges.
The owner of the car was ticketed for allowing the vehicle to be operated by an unlicensed driver.
