POLK COUNTY, FL : Child hurt following hit-and-run in Polk County on Thursday, 12th September 2024

A girl was hospitalized with a hurt arm and shoulder after she was hit by a pickup truck in Polk County Thursday morning, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies are now searching for the woman who hit her. She was reportedly driving a white pickup truck with ladders on top before hitting the girl on Ranchland Acres Road and Countryland Drive, the agency said.
