CADILLAC, MI : Two injured in early morning crash Tuesday on Tuesday, 2nd January 2018

When most people were returning to work after the New Year holiday, two people were taken to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City after they were in a crash.

Wexford County Sgt. Kevin Kovach said shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday a two-vehicle personal injury crash was reported on M-55 in Cadillac West between Benson Road and 33 Road. Kovach said a van was traveling westbound on M-55 when it lost control, crossed the center line and collided with a Jeep that was traveling eastbound on M-55.

Two people reported minor injuries and were transported to Traverse City by ground for treatment, Kovach said. As a result of the crash, Kovach said M-55 was closed between Benson and 33 roads for nearly an hour while the crews cleaned up the crash. No tickets were issued and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
