EL RENO, OK : El Reno Public Schools community grieving after 24-year-old teacher killed in crash on Monday, 23rd November, 2020

El Reno Public Schools suffered a tremendous loss and the community is in shock after Jacob Briggs, a teacher and coach, died in a car crash after leaving practice Monday night.

“It’s a tough thing for us to handle right now,” El Reno Public Schools Superintendent Craig McVay said.McVay called Briggs and up-and-coming superstar in the classroom and on the football field.

“His first year with us, and we were really thankful to add him to our staff,” McVay said.
