Stroudsburg, PA : Two hurt in Saylorsburg crash on Monday, October, 30th 2017
Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
A female passenger was flown to one of the Lehigh County hospitals while the male driver was taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono after a Monday night crash in the area of Hamilton South and Lake roads in Saylorsburg.
The male was driving a Subaru Forester on Lake Road when he hit a utility pole and ended up by the Hamilton South Road intersection, witnesses said.
A nearby neighbor heard the crash, ran out of his home to the intersection and saw the driver walking around and the passenger lying on the ground in front of the car. Both were covered in blood, the neighbor said.
Blue Ridge Hook & Ladder Fire Company arrived and closed off the intersection until the ambulance and helicopter arrived.
The car had hit the pole with such force that the cover was knocked off a Blue Ridge Cable box mounted on the pole. The equipment in the box was knocked loose and dangling.
State police were investigating the crash.
