CHARLOTTE, NC : Car crashed into a power pole knocking the lines into the road on Wednesday morning July 16th 2014

A vehicle crash has shut down E. WT Harris Boulevard in both directions Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported just after 4 a.m. at Denon Hills Drive and E. WT Harris Boulevard.

Police say Harris Boulevard is closed between Denon Hills Drive and Independence Boulevard.

Police say a car crashed into a power pole knocking the lines into the road.

Duke Energy crews are on scene working to remove the lines from the roadway.

Crews say the road may be closed for hours.
