Council Bluffs, IA : 31-year-old woman dies after a rear-end crash near a farm in southwest Iowa on Friday, 4th January 2019

A woman was killed in a rear-end crash at the entrance to a farm in southwest Iowa on Friday morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a car driven by 31-year-old Cassie Williams of Stanton, Iowa, rear-ended a heavy-duty work truck that was backing into the driveway of a farm on Redwood Avenue just north of Clarinda about 8:30 a.m.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.


The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The collision is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
