LAS VEGAS, NV : A 21-year-old motorcyclist dead at intersection on Wednesday, 17th January 2024
A Henderson crash left a 21-year-old motorcyclist dead Wednesday evening. Police said speed was a factor.
According to police, it happened shortly before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway.
Police said a motorcyclist was driving west on Lake Mead Parkway toward Boulder Highway at a “high rate of speed.” A silver SUV was traveling south on Boulder Highway and entered the intersection of Lake Mead on a green light.
The motorcyclist failed to obey a red light and hit the driver’s side of the SUV. The motorcyclist, a 21-year-old man, later succumbed to his injuries in a local hospital.
Medical personnel also took the occupants of the SUV to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said speed is considered a factor in the incident, but impairment being a factor is currently unknown.
