Belleville, IL : Three-car crash sends two to hospital on Tuesday, February 14th 2017

Two people were taken by ambulance to Belleville hospitals Tuesday morning after a three-vehicle crash in the 2100 block of South Illinois Street (Illinois 159) in Belleville. Two pickup trucks and a compact car collided and spread debris over a large area of the highway. One of the pickups came to rest in a culvert next to the highway. Belleville police and fire departments were on the scene. No life-threatening injuries were reported. This angle, looking north, shows one of the pickup trucks and the compact car, which had severe damage to both the front and rear.
