Nashville ,TN : 55 -years old John LaSalle killed and another injured in a muli-vehicle crash after he ejected along Briley Parkway on Sunday March 8th 2015

Officials have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Briley Parkway on Sunday.

According to Metro police, 55-year-old John LaSalle of Ashland City was heading northbound when his motorcycle hit a pothole and veered to the right, sideswiping a Honda Accord.

LaSalle was ejected and died at the scene near the exit for County Hospital Road.

Phillip Myatt, a motorcyclist who was driving behind LaSalle, said he had to lay his motorcycle down to avoid hitting the Honda. Myatt was seriously injured and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery.

No one inside of the Honda was injured.

Police said they do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
