Maxwell, NE : Three people injured in semitruck collision on I-80 on Wednesday, Nov 18, 2015

No fatality in two-semi collision just west of Maxwell on eastbound I-80. Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Justin Buhlke said three have been transported to Great Plains Health, one by helicopter with severe injuries, two by ambulance with minor injuries.
Buhlke said a westbound truck came across the median and collided with an eastbound truck. Both are totaled in the south ditch.
One of the trucks was transporting yogurt. The product spilled from the back of the truck and covered the roadway. Buhlke said as soon as the road is cleared by a front loader from the Nebraska Department of Roads and by the Maxwell Volunteer Fire Department, traffic will begin moving.
The NSP was assisted by Maxwell VFD, North Platte Fire Department, NDOR and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
