Rainier, OR : One hospitalized in Crash involved a truck and a car, closes Highway 30 on Wednesday, July 23, 2014
Highway 30 west of Rainier was closed for about 90 minutes Wednesday for an injury accident involving a semi truck and car, according to the Oregon State Police.
At around 4 p.m., a 2013 Toyota Corolla attempted to make a u-turn near milepost 52 when it collided with a semi traveling westbound, OSP said.
The truck struck the passenger cars driver side causing the car to spin off the road into the grass on the side of Highway 30.
The driver of the Toyota was airlifted to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland with non-life-threatening injuries, according to OSP. The truck’s driver was not injured, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
Names and the drivers’ hometowns were not available Wednesday night.
