CLAYTON COUNTY, GA : 78-year-old driver who was killed after tree fell onto car amid storms in Clayton County on Tuesday, 9th January 2024

A 78-year-old man was killed after a tree fell onto a car during an accident in Clayton County as strong winds and storms move through metro Atlanta early Tuesday morning, police said.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Herbert Lee Williams, 78, of Fayetteville.

Details are limited, but police added that the tree fell on a vehicle at the Intersection of Highway 54/Fayetteville Road and Jenni Lane during a wreck just before 9:50 a.m.
