Nashwauk, MN : 2 teen boys die in Itasca County crash on U.S. Highway 169 in Nashwauk on Sunday, 9th June 2019

Two teenage boys were killed Saturday afternoon in a crash on U.S. Highway 169 in Nashwauk.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the two boys were riding in a 2005 Honda Accord about 2:42 p.m. Saturday when the driver attempted a left turn from northbound Highway 169 onto Minnesota State Highway 65. During the turn, a 1994 Chevrolet Cobra Camper driving south on Highway 169 struck the Honda.The State Patrol identified the two fatalities as Aiden Patrick Hall, 16, and Trent Casey Salminen, 13. The 17-year-old boy driving the Honda and another passenger, a 15-year-old boy, were taken to Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing with what authorities described as non-life-threatening injuries.
