Tuscumbia, AL : 17-year-old killed, three other teens injured in Tuscumbia wreck on Wednesday, 23rd October 2024
One teenager is dead and three others injured after a single-car wreck near Tuscumbia.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says a 17-year-old was killed, two other 17-year-olds, including the driver, and a 16-year-old were taken to the hospital for treatment.
All four were in a 2007 Toyota Camry that ran off the road and hit an embankment before overturning and hitting a utility pole and a culvert. The teenager who died was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and died at the scene. All of the teenagers are from Tuscumbia.
The wreck happened just after 1:30 a.m. on October 22, 2024 on Woodmont Drive near Ponderosa Drive, about four miles south of Tuscumbia in Colbert County.
