Wood County ,OH :Genoa Road back open after head-on crash on Wednesday morning ,July 22nd 2015
One person was taken to the hospital following a violent crash early Wednesday morning in Wood County.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. at Fostoria Road and Genoa Road. According to Highway Patrol, a car went left of center and crashed into a semi truck head on.
The driver of the car, 24-year-old Owen Martin of Oak Harbor, was taken to a hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries. The semi-truck driver, 56-year-old Steven Harder of Elmore, was uninjured. His truck was towed from the scene.
Genoa Road was closed for several hours so crews could clear debris. It has since reopened.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the accident.
