Police ID Man Killed in 50-Car Turnpike Accident in Philadelphia Pennsylvania

Police have revealed the identity of a man who was killed during a massive pile up on the Pennsylvania Turnpike over the weekend.
Officials say Andrew Fisher, 35, of Friendship, Pennsylvania was in a crash that involved about 50 vehicles on the Turnpike on Sunday around 12:30 p.m. near milepost 300 in Chester County.As Fisher checked on the driver in a severely damaged car, police say he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 72-year-old woman while he stood on an embankment.The turnpike crash was the only fatality reported amid a multitude of fender-benders caused by a storm that brought much heavier than expected snow to the region.The accident shut down the Westbound lanes of the turnpike from Downingtown to Morgantown for seven hours.Fisher was a University of Pittsburgh Medical School graduate who practiced family medicine with Solano & Kokales Internal Medicine Associates in Oakland.He is survived by a wife and two children.
