Concord, N.H : Tailgating driver causes 4-car collision on I-93 on Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2016
A Massachusetts woman was cited for following too closely after a four-car collision on Interstate 93 on Sunday afternoon.
New Hampshire State Police said troopers were dispatched to I-93 South in Concord, just north of Exit 15, at 2:17 p.m.
Police said traffic had come to a stop on the southbound side when Mary Cutler, 60, of Dover, Massachusetts, failed to stop and struck the car in front of her.
Police said the car that Cutler struck was pushed into two other cars. All four cars involved in the crash sustained extensive damage.
Concord firefighters took Cutler to Concord Hospital with minor injuries.
State police said the left lane of I-93 South was closed for nearly an hour, resulting in a several-mile traffic backup.
