WACO, TX : Elderly woman dies in Waco crash on Wednesday, 15th May 2024

The victim in a fatal multi-vehicle crash in Waco has been identified.

The department has identified the victim as 71-year-old Jane Shwarz. Officers were called to the crash at 9:27 p.m. Wednesday. It occurred near Interstate 35 and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Three vehicles were involved.

Officers believe a 1999 Ford F-150 hit the outside retaining wall. While coming back into traffic, the F-150 was struck by a Freightliner. This caused a 2015 Hyundai Sonata to hit the back of the Freightliner.
