Driver injured on Route 571 when woman crashed into utility pole

A driver received a minor injury when she crashed into a utility pole on Route 571 Wednesday morning, police said.

Karen Dimicco of Brick was driving a 2005 Ford Explorer west on Route 571, just past North Bay Avenue, when she left the road, striking the pole, said police spokesman Ralph J. Stocco.

She was treated for a minor injury in the crash, which is still under investigation by Cpl. Frank Palino and Patrolman Brian Doyle, both of the Traffic Safety Unit, Stocco said.
