Meers, OK : Motorcyclist killed, passenger injured after crash in Comanche County on Sunday evening, November 2, 2014
Oklahoma troopers say a motorcyclist has died and his passenger has been injured after crashing near the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 50-year-old Scott Heath was thrown about 25 feet on Sunday evening when he veered off the road near Meers and struck some rocks. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
A 49-year-old female passenger was taken to an area hospital and released.
Troopers say Heath smelled of alcohol. They say neither Heath nor the passenger was wearing a helmet.
