Elmore, VT : Man charged with DUI after school playground crash on early sunday morning, May 18 2014

Police say a drunk driver crashed into a playground in Elmore.

It happened early Sunday morning on Route 12. Police responded to a report of a single car crash. Officers discovered a car had crashed into the playground at the Elmore School and also damaged an adjacent barn. They later tracked down 31-year-old Michael Barup and charged him with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
