Boone County, KY : Verona man injured after moped crash on Walton-Verona Road near Maddox Lane on Monday, Aug 3, 2015

A man was flown to the hospital after he flipped over a guardrail due to a collision in Verona on Monday, officials said.

Emergency crews responded to the accident around 1:30 p.m. and found Robert Harrington, 52, of Verona had been thrown over the guardrail after striking it with his moped on Walton-Verona Road near Maddox Lane, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.

Harrington was flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. His condition is unknown.

Walton Verona Road reopened about an hour after the crash.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the accident.
