Las Vegas, NV : Pedestrian hit, killed by motorcycle in Henderson on Thursday, May 19, 2016
A pedestrian was killed and a motorcyclist injured in a crash late Thursday near Boulder Highway and Sunset Road, according to Henderson Police.
A motorcycle was headed south on Boulder Highway, near Coogan Drive, about 11:55 p.m. when it hit a pedestrian crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk, police said.
The 56-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
The motorcyclist was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with minor injuries, including a possible broken arm, police said.
Southbound Boulder Highway was shut down for about four hours in the area as police investigated the crash.
