Fremont,NE : Two people died after SUV crash with semitrailer on Highway 30 near Fremont on Wednesday October 14 2015

Authorities say two people were killed in a Dodge County collision between a sport utility vehicle and a semitrailer that was hauling a combine.The accident occurred around 11:35 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 30, about two miles west of Fremont. Authorities say the SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the big rig.
Paul Dirkschneider, of Schuyler, told the Fremont Tribune that he and his wife stopped their vehicle when they reached the accident scene. He says he and two other men who'd stopped helped the semitrailer driver escape from flames that erupted after the crash. The driver was taken to a hospital.The names of the driver and the two people who died in the SUV have not been released.
