MALIBU, CA : 1 dead, another critically injured in Malibu crash involving motorcycle on Saturday, March 4th 2017
One person died and another was critically injured Saturday in a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, authorities said.
It happened about 3:35 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway at Leo Carrillo Beach Road, according to Dispatch Supervisor Bernard Peters of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a trauma center by helicopter, according to LACoFD Dispatch supervisor Ed Pickett.
It was not reported if both patients were on the motorcycle.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 4:37 shutting down northbound and southbound PCH at Mulholland Highway for its investigation. The roadway was reopened about 8:45 p.m.
