Walhalla, SC : 18 year-old Autumn Charissa Jordan died in a single vehicle wreck near Westminster on Saturday night, March 14, 2015
The Oconee County Coroner said an 18-year-old Walhalla woman died Saturday night in a car crash in the Westminster area.
Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrolsaid the wreck occurred on SC-11 at Critter Road about 8:20 p.m.
Lance Cpl. David Jones said a 17-year-old male was driving a Chrysler Seabring involved in a single-vehicle crash.
The teen driver was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital via EMS and a rear passenger in the vehicle was air-lifted to Greenville Memorial. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
Coroner Karl Addis said a front-seat passenger was killed in the crash. Autumn Charissa Jordan of South Spring Street, Walhalla, was pronounced dead at the scene, Addis said. Jordan was wearing a seat belt
A portion of SC-11 was blocked for several hours as the Highway Patrol and MAIT team investigated.
The highway had reopened Sunday morning.
The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
