Waterloo, IA : Sumner woman hurt in a single-vehicle crash in northwest of West Union on Saturday night, February 4, 2017

A Sumner woman was hurt in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night northwest of West Union.

Katelyn K. Fay, 21, crash in the 14,000 block of Nature Road, west of Auburn. Fayette County Sheriff's deputies said she was westbound when she lost control of her 2002 Mercury Sable and entered the ditch. Fay was transported by ambulance to Palmer Hospital in West Union and treated for injuries.

The vehicle is believed to be a total loss and a power line pole was also damaged. The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
