A fire official has released the names of two West Virginia volunteer firefighters who were killed when their fire truck hit a rock wall while responding to a fatal highway accident.
Pratt Deputy Fire Chief Rod Johnson said Sunday that 46-year-old assistant fire chief Michael Edwards and 40-year-old Lt. Thomas Craigo died in Saturday's crash. Edwards had 25 years of service as a firefighter and Craigo spent about 15 years with the department. Johnson says both men were recently married, including Edwards about a week ago.
Johnson says two other firefighters remain hospitalized and a third was treated and released Sunday.
Earlier reports indicated the fire truck had rolled over, but Johnson says it hit a rock wall.
Johnson says a candlelight vigil is planned outside the fire station Sunday night.
