Memphis, TN : A Memphis police officer was injured in a crash at Yale Road near Ramill Road On Friday, April 29th, 2016

A Memphis police officer was involved in a crash Friday morning.

The crash happened on Yale Road near Ramill Road when a Toyota Corolla crashed into the side of the cruiser.

The other driver's father said he spoke to her just after the crash. He said she's 19 years old and was taken to the hospital. Police said she was in non-critical condition.

"I came straight out here to see what was going on," the father said. "I got another call that said she was transported to the hospital, that she was in a lot of pain."

The officer was not injured in the crash, but received a citation for disregarding a red light.
