CEDAR FALLS, IA : An 8-year-old Cedar Falls boy died from injuries sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident on Tuesday, August 8, 2017

An 8-year-old Cedar Falls boy died from injuries sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident Tuesday morning.

Micah Jones was driving a Mudhead Hammerhead ATV in a rural Cedar Falls farm yard in Grundy County shortly before noon when it went over a retaining wall and flipped over, according to the Grundy County Sheriff's Office.

Jones was taken to Sartori Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Passenger Charlie Stewart, 8, of Cedar Falls, was taken to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo for treatment of minor injuries.

Funeral arrangements for Jones, the son of James and Jodi Huffman Jones, are being handled by Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.

The accident remains under investigation.
