TAUNTON, MA : Taunton man killed in freak accident in Fall River identified on Saturday, 8th February, 2020

The identity of a Taunton man killed in what appears to have been a freak accident Saturday afternoon in Fall River has been released.

Alan Moreau, 52, died after a car driven by an older relative accidentally ran over him on the 700 block of Pleasant Street, according to Bristol District Attorney spokesman Gregg Miliote.

Moreau and the 71-year-old family member had driven to Fall River from Taunton in Moreau’s 2017 Kia Sorento SUV and collected a BMW 3 Series sedan from a tow shop.

As the two men were driving the two cars down Pleasant Street at around 1 p.m., the older man, who was driving the BMW, pulled over and told Moreau the passenger side tire of the BMW was rubbing up against the bumper, Miliote said.
