Authorities say a woman died when her car collided with a police SUV in southwestern Michigan.
The Berrien County Sheriff's Office says 69-year-old Sherry Lynn Temple of Stevensville was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash with a Pokagon Band Police Department SUV Sunday afternoon on M-140 in Bainbridge Township.
Police say one officer, 35-year-old Earl Holbrook, suffered a head injury and a partially severed left ear and was hospitalized Monday in stable condition. The officer driving the SUV, 45-year-old Gustavo Pop-Monroy, suffered a cut to his left hand and a broken left forearm and was treated and released at a hospital.
