A 34-year-old Pueblo West man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Pueblo West near the intersection of U.S. 50 West and South McCulloch Boulevard.
A Honda Fit was struck by a 1998 Peterbilt semitrailer around 4:15 p.m., according to trooper Art Gumke of the Colorado State Patrol.
The Honda's driver, 34-year-old Joshua Jenson from Pueblo West, was restrained at the time of the crash. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pueblo County Coroner.
The Peterbilt's driver, 32-year-old Darrell Fisher of Pueblo, was restrained at the time of the crash and did not sustain any injuries.
The crash happened when the westbound Honda was making a left-hand turn onto South McCulloch and the eastbound Peterbilt collided with the Honda.
After impact, the Honda was pushed east, going off the south side of the road, rolling one time and coming to rest on its wheels facing northwest in the acceleration lane of Colorado 50 East.
The Peterbilt continued east, going off the south side of the road and came to a controlled stop.
The Peterbilt's driver, 32-year-old Darrell Fisher of Pueblo, was restrained at the time of the crash and was uninjured.
