PONTIAC, MI : Rural Pontiac man dies in early-morning crash at the intersection of Illinois 47 and 2300 North Road on Sunday, 11th August 2019

A rural Pontiac man died in a two-vehicle crash near Saunemin in rural Livingston County early Sunday morning.

Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson said the man’s car and a semi-tractor trailer collided at the intersection of Illinois 47 and 2300 North Road shortly before 1:30 a.m. Details of the crash were not available Sunday.The man’s name has not been released, pending notification of family, Watson said. An autopsy is scheduled.


Assisting at the scene were Saunemin Fire and EMS, Pontiac Fire Rescue, Livingston County Sheriff’s Police, Illinois State Police and the Illinois State Police Reconstruction Unit.
