Lowell, MA : 79-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Lowell on Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Lowell police are investigating after 79-year-old resident walking across a city street was struck and killed by a vehicle. The victim was struck just before 6 a.m. Tuesday while crossing Route 113. Initial information indicates that the victim was struck while attempting to cross the eastbound lanes. The 69-year-old driver of the vehicle that struck the victim stopped at the scene and was subsequently transported to Lowell General Hospital. No other information was immediately available.
