Wesley Chapel, FL : Woman dead, another seriously injured after a two-car crash in Pasco County Monday afternoon, December 12, 2016

A Lutz woman is dead and another is seriously injured after a two-car crash on Wesley Chapel Boulevard in Pasco County Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Highway Patrol said 18-year-old Ryan Stein of Land O' Lakes was driving south on Wesley Chapel Boulevard approaching State Road 56 shortly before 1 p.m. when he lost control of his Kia Sedano. Stein traveled into the path of a Pontiac G6 driven 22-year-old Taylor Perritt of Lutz, who was driving north, according to the Highway Patrol.

The two vehicles crashed head-on, the Highway Patrol said.

Perritt was transported to Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, where she died from her injuries.

Faith Floridia, a 19-year-old passenger in Stein's car, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Florida Hospital as well. Troopers said Stein suffered minor injuries.
