Maryville, TN : Woman killed in Walland wreck on Monday June 16th 2014

The Blount County Sheriff's Office says a 21-year-old Maryville woman was killed in a crash around 12:30 AM Monday on Rocky Branch Road near Fred Jennings Road.

Deputies say Mary Cooper was going east when she lost control of her SUV on a curve and went off the road. Her vehicle rolled onto its top and hit a tree.

She was taken to Blount Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Deputies say Cooper was not wearing her seat belt.

This is the sixth deadly wreck in Blount County in the last six weeks.
