Effingham County, GA : Sheriff's deputies responded to a vehiclde accident at the intersection of High Bluff and Tommy Long Road on Tuesday morning September 2nd 2014

Effingham County Sheriff's deputies responded to a vehiclde accident at the intersection of High Bluff and Tommy Long Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The driver lost control and struck a tree and became trapped insdie the vehilce. The passenger was airlifted to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah with life-threatening injuries.The driver was also transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The intersection was closed while crews worked to clear the wreck. It has since reopened to traffic. The accident remains under investigation.
