FLOYD COUNTY, KY : One person has been killed following an accident in Floyd County on Thursday, August 24, 2017

One person has been killed following an accident in Floyd County last night.

It happened around 11 p.m. last night.

The Floyd County Coroner's Office tells 13 News that Nicholas Adkins, 38, died after crossing onto U.S. 23 while on foot.

He was struck by a truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the driver has not been released at this time and it is unknown whether they will be facing charges.
