Charlotte, NC : Pedestrian struck and killed after crash on Interstate 85 in north Charlotte on Thursday, Oct 8, 2015

North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers wer investigating after they said a pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 85 overnight in north Charlotte.
Troopers were called to the scene in the northbound lanes of I-85 near West Sugar Creek Road just before 1:30 a.m.

Officials said one person was killed, but their name has not been released.
Troopers have not released many details surrounding the crash, but the two left lanes were closed and all lanes weren't expected to reopen until after 7 a.m.
